Personal Experience

Samantha Ford was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington before obtaining her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. During law school, Samantha served on the executive board of the Berkeley Business Law Journal and gained early litigation experience through the school’s Civil Justice Clinic, where she worked directly with clients facing complex commercial disputes.

Admitted to practice about 15 years ago, Samantha began her career at a national litigation firm, where she handled a broad range of civil matters, including business disputes, breach of contract claims, insurance coverage issues, fraud and misrepresentation cases, and general commercial litigation. Her early work representing both plaintiffs and defendants gave her a strong understanding of how to approach cases from multiple strategic angles.

As her practice developed, Samantha cultivated a deep interest in breach of contract and fraud litigation, particularly in matters involving high-value commercial agreements, business failures, financial misrepresentations, and vendor disputes. Over time, she also gained significant experience in auto-related civil litigation, handling disputes involving dealership operations, vehicle purchase contracts, leasing agreements, commercial fleet transactions, and fraud allegations arising from auto-industry business practices.

Now a Partner at the firm, Samantha leads litigation teams across all of the firm’s civil practice areas, while continuing to focus on breach of contract, fraud, and auto-industry related disputes. She is actively involved in every stage of the litigation process—from case assessment and strategic planning to discovery, motion practice, negotiation, and trial preparation.

Known for her strategic judgment, meticulous preparation, and ability to simplify complex contractual and fraud issues, Samantha is a respected advocate for businesses and individuals navigating sophisticated disputes. Her combination of broad civil litigation experience and targeted auto-industry knowledge allows her to deliver practical, results-driven legal representation tailored to each client’s needs.
