John Abrams was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Emory University before obtaining his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School. While in law school, John contributed to the Columbia Business Law Review and gained practical experience through the Civil Litigation Clinic, where he assisted clients in complex commercial disputes and insurance matters.

Admitted to practice over 14 years ago, John began his career at a regional litigation firm, handling a wide array of civil cases including business disputes, insurance coverage claims, commercial contracts, and general corporate litigation. Early in his career, he developed a reputation for analytical rigor, strategic case management, and a client-focused approach to dispute resolution.

As his practice evolved, John focused increasingly on business disputes and insurance coverage litigation, including matters involving commercial contracts, vendor conflicts, corporate partnerships, policy interpretation, and coverage disputes. He also has experience in auto-industry litigation, representing dealerships, rental companies, and commercial fleets in insurance and contractual disputes.

Now a Partner at the firm, John leads teams in complex civil litigation across all practice areas, with particular emphasis on business disputes and insurance coverage cases. He is deeply involved in every stage of litigation—from initial case evaluation and discovery to motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial strategy. Known for his analytical skills, strategic judgment, and dedication to client service, John is a trusted advisor for businesses and insurers navigating complex civil litigation and high-stakes coverage disputes.
